Frequently Asked Questions

I am not a mind reader, so I can’t predict all questions you may have. However, I hope that this FAQ page will help answer most of your questions.

Q: What style of articles will I find on this site?

Mike: The majority of the articles are all Tar Heels, all the time. many of these articles are live blogging of football, basketball, and other games, as well as significant non-Tar Heel sporting events. Most other articles pertain to significant off-field Tar Heel news stories (e.g. a coaching change). I’m trying to keep a good balance of satire and insight, which is harder than I expected.

Q: Did you say live blogging? Explain.

Mike: Live blogging is exactly as it sounds. I blog these events and publish them as they happen, in real time. It’s a lot of fun to read both during the game and afterward.

Q: Where can I read old posts?

Mike: You can go to the acrhives or “recent posts” on the right of your screen, or you can go to the bottom of the home page and click on “Next Page”.

Q: Tar Heel Athletics seems to be a trivial subject to blog about. Why don’t you go talk about politics or something?

Mike: There a few reasons for this. First, I am an alum of UNC and an avid sports fan. I’ve found that for most people, their best writing petains to a the subject they most enjoy talking about, and for me this happens to be UNC Sports. I really enjoy writing about the Tar Heels, and I hope that it shows through my writing.

Q: You suck. Where can I find another place to get my Tar Heel news?

Mike: I always like ESPN for sports, but for Carolina I suggest you go straight to the source: Tar Heel Blue.
